Cycling itineraries around Auvergne
AUVERGNE / PUY-DE-DOME

round itineraries have been arranged in the Puy-de-Dôme
department, famous for having welcomed the Tour de France and
its mythical stage including the puy de Dôme volcano climb. Each
itineray is between 36 and 80km long, representing a total of
758km on signed roads.
The
way those circuits are spread around the department allows
visitors to discover its richness : lakes, castles, perched
villages, articraft, volcanos and of course the famous Dôme
mountains... Those itineraries have been specifically designed
for amateur cyclists, with a dedicated road signage from the
starting point (often located from the village square) and then
all along the road with green signs.

AUVERGNE / HAUTE-LOIRE
Haute-Loire and its 3400km of often quiet Departmental roads
offers huge possibilities for cyclists. 15 itineraries have been
selected by the French Federationof Cyclotourism and can be used
by ramblers and cyclists alike. They also include 8 days
circuits with an emphasis on gastronomie !

AUVERGNE / ALLIER
Well-being break and cyclotourism – 3 days / 2 nights from 1st
April to 21st October 2007
Following into Madame de Montespan footsteps, 3 century later,
enjoy water spa activities in the birth place of the Bourbon
Ducs. You will be staying in a 3*** hotel within a XVI and XVII
century residence offering past refinement and charm.

AUVERGNE-CANTAL
Situated north of
Cantal, the Green Trail of
Sumène-Artense has been arrange
on an old railway track. The project of developping 12,7km
should be finished by the end of the year. It is ideal for
cycling in a safe surroundings.
